Dr. David Elias has participated in a variety of research projects and publications in orthopaedics and sports medicine. He also served as an instructor for arthroscopic surgery. Having worked with numerous high school, college and professional athletic teams including the San Diego Padres, Dr. Elias has extensive experience in treating athletic injuries. Dr. Elias also currently provides consultations for NFL players. Dr. Elias and OrthoLA host a Pro Football Camp every year at Nicholls.

I am always impressed with everyone who cares for me at ORTHOLA but on this last visit when Dr. Ias himself walked into my room and took my hand and discussed not only my shoulder problems but the reason I can't have my surgery now/my husband is very ill and he repeated that. I can't tell you how much that meant to me!
I had an exceptional experience Dr. Elias and couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. From the moment I walked in, I was met with professionalism and kindness. Excellent bedside manner—taking the time to truly listen, answer every question thoroughly, and make me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. Their knowledge and expertise were evident right away. They explained my shoulder issue in a way that was easy to understand and made sure I felt confident in the treatment plan moving forward. What stood out most was their sincerity and genuine concern for my recovery—they never made me feel rushed. It’s not often you find a doctor who combines skill, professionalism, and such a caring approach so seamlessly. It’s very evident they care for their patients!
