Biography
Dr. Eichten is an orthopedic surgeon that has completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction/joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee with Dr. Edward Humbert. Dr. Eichten grew up in Minnesota and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas in 2001 with a degree in Biology. He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA and earned the Gold Stethoscope Award for finishing first in his medical school class. During his third and fourth years of medical school, Dr. Eichten completed his clinical rotations in Fort Myers and confirmed his interest in orthopedic surgery while training with Dr. Humbert and Dr. John B. Fenning. Dr. Eichten then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Ohio University in Dayton, OH.
Dr. Eichten and his family are excited to be back in Fort Myers for his career as a fellowship-trained orthopedic joint surgeon. He enjoys helping his patients achieve their full functioning potential and improving their quality of life. His recreational time is spent playing golf, tennis, watching Spring Training baseball, traveling and being active outdoors with his family.
