My surgery for uterine prolapse. Robotic, Supracervical Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy and Sacrocolpopexy (medical description). In plain english: Robotic - done with the Da Vinci robot through small abdominal incisions. Supracervical hysterectomy - uterus removed, cervix stays. Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy - both ovaries and both fallopian tubes removed. Sacrocolpopexy - mesh attached to the top of the vagina and anchored to the sacrum to lift and support everything. My doctor David DiPiazza, was excellent!!! Today I feel much better just two weeks after surgery.

He reviewed my medical history, asked and answered questions cogently, and made some very useful suggestions about my preventative practices and medications. If I ever need urological surgery, I would be very comfortable consulting Dr Piazza. He inspired confidence.
