My surgery for uterine prolapse. Robotic, Supracervical Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy and Sacrocolpopexy (medical description). In plain english: Robotic - done with the Da Vinci robot through small abdominal incisions. Supracervical hysterectomy - uterus removed, cervix stays. Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy - both ovaries and both fallopian tubes removed. Sacrocolpopexy - mesh attached to the top of the vagina and anchored to the sacrum to lift and support everything. My doctor David DiPiazza, was excellent!!! Today I feel much better just two weeks after surgery.

He reviewed my medical history, asked and answered questions cogently, and made some very useful suggestions about my preventative practices and medications.
