David E. DeMik, MD, PharmD

Dr. DeMik is a fellowship-trained surgeon specialized in hip and knee joint replacement and revision, including anterior approach hip replacement. Dr. DeMik joined Steindler Orthopedic Clinic in 2026.

Dr. DeMik received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. DeMik then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa, followed by a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also completed the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons Health Policy Fellowship.

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. DeMik enjoys spending time with his wife and son, cycling, weightlifting, hot yoga, hiking, Hawkeye sports, and barbecue.
