Dr. David Davis is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained in arthroscopy and sports medicine. He provides care for adults and adolescents with injuries of the bones, joints, and muscles. Dr. Davis specializes in the care of sports-related injuries, with a particular focus on injuries of the shoulder, hip, and knee. His clinical practice includes arthroscopic surgery with a focus on ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff repairs and labrum repairs of the shoulder and hip. He also specializes in hip preservation using the latest techniques in hip arthroscopic surgery.
He has worked as an assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics, Tufts University football, and hockey programs, and is currently a team physician for several New Hampshire Seacoast high schools.
Dr. Davis is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has published works in both Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Basic Science and is currently involved in orthopaedic research on ACL anatomy and new techniques for the repair of ACL injuries. His most recent publication, detailing the anatomy of the ACL femoral footprint, can be found in the of the Journal of Arthroscopy, the leading peer-reviewed journal in the field of minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Davis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science from the University of California Los Angeles. He received his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Davis performed his orthopaedic residency at the Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed his surgical training as a Sports Medicine Fellow at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
A native of California, Dr. Davis enjoys the outdoors and all the Seacoast has to offer. When not at work you may find him snowboarding, surfing, or mountain biking with his wife and four children.

Dr Davis is an excellent clinician and listener. As an athlete I have always found he focuses on getting the athlete BACK vs saying “ you won’t be able to run, hike “ again.
Dr Davis was exactly what I needed- a physician who listened attentively to my concerns and goals after reviewing images and reports. Then , he utilized his expertise and holistic approach to give me a thoughtful recommendation suitable to my particular situation. I even received new insights on physical therapy that were game changing!

Excellent doctor! I've been in pain for years and he's the first doctor to really listen to how I've been feeling and showing there's light at the end of the tunnel! Highly recommend seeing him for hip pain.
