David A. Rockwell, MD

Dr. David Rockwell, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and provides non-operative orthopedic care and treatment to patients. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Morehead Scholar. He completed his postgraduate training and orthopedic surgical residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.

For over 30 years, Dr. Rockwell practiced community orthopedic surgery with Goldsboro Orthopedic Associates and was a past president of the North Carolina Orthopedic Association. In October 2011, the NCOA awarded Dr. David Rockwell, The Honored Surgeon Award which recognizes a North Carolina orthopedic surgeon who has been notably influential in the promotion of the highest standards of orthopedic care and has distinguished himself among his peers for the dedication to quality patient care and to the medical profession.

He is a board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Rockwell is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North Carolina Orthopedic Association and the North Carolina Medical Society. Dr. Rockwell has been in practice with EmergeOrtho since 2010. He treats a variety of general orthopedic conditions providing non-operative care to patients.
