One of the most knowledgeable and compassionate doctors in the obgyn world. I've never once felt awkward about talking to her. She did my hysterectomy, which was a very high risk, and she was amazing! I've never felt better.

She made me feel completely at ease. She was extremely informative and took the time to make sure I understood things. After having horrible experiences with previous doctors I was nervous but she seen my unease and discomfort and she really made me comfortable and seen as patient and not just a payment. I would hands down recommend her to anyone!!!

Dr. Lofgren has always had a passion for obstetrics. This interest started when she was a patient experiencing pre-term labor with her oldest daughter. As a patient she developed the understanding of the stress of having a high risk pregnancy. After successfully delivering her first child, her second pregnancy was fortunately without complications.
With this understanding, she began her education and became a labor and delivery nurse. She graduated from nursing school in 1985 with an associate’s degree. She returned to school to get her BSN in 1991. Continuing the passion for obstetrics, Dr. Lofgren entered medical school and graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1996. She completed her OBGYN Residency at The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine-Tulsa. During this residency she developed a passion for education and joined the faculty at OU where she taught for several years before joining The Women’s Health Group in 2011.

Dr. Lofgren is the past president of the Tulsa County OBGYN Society, multiple winner of The Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award at OU-Tulsa and won the National Teaching Award in 2007.
Darla is married to Garrett Russell and between them, they are parents to five daughters. She is the very proud grandmother of Riley, Cadence and Jase. When not at work, you may find Garrett and Darla playing golf, wakeboarding or snow skiing.
