Dr. Daniela Matijevich, DPM is a surgical podiatrist who joined Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in 2022. A native of Schererville, Indiana, Dr. Matijevich is thrilled to serve and care for her community. She has had extensive nonsurgical and surgical training in all aspects of the foot and ankle. Dr. Matijevich focuses on preventative care, working to ensure her patients fully understand their condition particularly with diabetic wound care and limb salvage.
Dr. Matijevich received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and Master of Science degree from Purdue University Northwest. She received her podiatric medical degree from Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, IL. Her podiatric medicine and surgery residency training took place at Franciscan Alliance/Midwestern University throughout Northwest Indiana where her training emphasized on conservative care and surgical correction of forefoot and rearfoot deformities, complex lower extremity trauma, and diabetic limb salvage. In addition, Dr. Matijevich has had training in multiple high volume wound care centers throughout Northwest Indiana.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Matijevich enjoys traveling and cooking with her husband as well as spending time with her family including her many nephews and niece.
