Dr. Daniel Perez, D.P.M., FACFAS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in sports-related injuries, total ankle replacement, ligament and tendon repair/reconstruction, minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques, complex/revisional deformity correction, bunions and hammertoes, arthritis, neurologic conditions and trauma to the lower extremity including fracture care.
After a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida, he completed his medical training at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine followed by a surgical residency at Dekalb Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia as well as the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia. He subsequently completed the Pennsylvania Intensive Lower Extremity Fellowship with advanced training in adult and pediatric foot and ankle reconstruction, total ankle replacement, and management of acute and chronic complex foot and ankle trauma.
Dr. Perez is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has presented at multiple national meetings and currently serves as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Perez actively assists in advanced surgical training as a clinical and surgical instructor for the Medstar Health System Podiatric Surgery Residency Program.
As a native of Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Perez enjoys international travel, hiking, cooking as well as spending time with his wife and two daughters.

I recently had my second appointment in six months with Dr. Daniel Perez at Precision Orthopedics, and once again I was extremely impressed. Dr. Perez is far more than just a “foot doctor.” What makes him unique is his deep understanding of how the entire body works together — including how foot injuries and chronic issues can be connected to diet, genetics, and overall human physiology. In my case, he took the time to carefully explain how my genetics may be influencing certain health concerns and offered thoughtful, practical recommendations to help me stay healthier long-term. It’s rare today to find a physician who combines medical expertise with such a personalized and holistic approach to patient care. Dr. Perez is knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and genuinely invested in helping his patients improve their quality of life. I never felt rushed during my visit, and I left with a much better understanding of my health and what steps I can take moving forward. Highly recommended

I had an outstanding experience today at Precision Orthopedics in Laurel. It is rare to find a doctor who truly takes the time to listen to your concerns, but that is exactly what happened during my foot consultation. Instead of just looking at a screen, the doctor actually put his hands on my foot to locate the source of my pain. He was thorough, professional, and took a systemic approach by referring me to a back specialist to ensure we find the root cause. I left feeling heard and confident in my treatment plan. If you want a doctor who treats you like a person and not just a number, this is the place to go. 5 Stars for excellence in care!
