Dr. Daniel D. Michaels, D.P.M. received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, from Southwest Texas State University. Following that, he completed a prestigious program culminating in a dual Masters in Medical Education and Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree (s) from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California.
Dr. Michaels completed his internship and residency at VA CT Healthcare System, West Haven Campus, Yale University, School of Medicine, Clinical Campus in New Haven, Connecticut. During that time, he studied peripheral nerve, plastic and reconstructive surgery. Upon completion of his residency, he served as Podiatric Foot & Ankle Fellow and Chief Podiatric Surgical Resident at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, James Lawrence Kernan Hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Michaels is now in private practice in Frederick and Hagerstown Maryland and is a Medical Director of the Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Institute, LLC. He and his staff provide Comprehensive Foot & Ankle Care by providing a fall prevention center of excellence, heel pain center of excellence, nail care center of excellence, neuropathy center of excellence, wound care center of excellence, diabetic foot center of excellence dermatology center of excellence, all within each location. Dr. Michaels has privileges at Frederick Memorial Hospital and Meritus Medical Center.

I don't love that he has a lot of otc meds, vitamins, creams, cleansers etc. that seem to be pushed on patients over prescription rx's that would be paid for by insurance. I did really love seeing one of the office admin had her baby in the office with her today. As a mom, I know how invaluable working for a company/office that is flexible and understanding of parents is! That alone earns big points from me because I'd rather hear a fussy baby than know that employee had to miss a day of paid work because she couldn't find or afford other childcare.
He is very professional and hear my needs I recommend.
