Dr. Daniel Maxwell is a Carrollton native and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of West Georgia. Dr. Maxwell earned his medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. After residency, Dr. Maxwell completed a fellowship in Foot & Ankle Surgery at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulfbreeze, Florida. The Andrews Institute, under the leadership and reputation of internationally renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, provides a spectrum of services in order for patients to quickly and accurately address their orthopaedic needs.
Dr. Maxwell’s expertise in orthopaedics is not limited to foot & ankle. He also has extensive training and experience with all types of orthopedic related injuries, from knee pain to joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Maxwell is a graduate of Central High School (Lion Pride!) and the Maxwell family has extensive roots in the west Georgia region. Daniel and his wife, Kristen, have two boys and reside in Carrollton.

He listens and hasn't tried to push me into some useless surgery. Easy to talk with.
I fell this morning and as it turned out, broke my foot. I saw Matt Henderson, NO, who was very thorough and gentle, explained the type of break, and answered all my questions.
A great interaction with Dr. Maxwell enjoyed the visit, felt good about the decisions we made move forward
Great listener to your pain and problem going on.
Good service done by the nurse practitioner. I am not giving five stars because I waited inside the room about one and half hours, and Dr Maxwell didn’t even show up.
