Dr. Dan Hunsinger, M.D., was born and raised in Bethesda, MD. He completed his undergraduate degree at Miami University of Ohio in 1980, and a Masters in Physiology at Georgetown University in 1982. He obtained his M.D. from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1986, and completed his Residency in Pediatrics at Georgetown University Hospital in 1989. He has been a Board-Certified Pediatrician since then. Dr. Dan has 35 years of experience practicing Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult medicine in the Gaithersburg area. He has a special interest in patients with ADHD. He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Shady Grove Hospital, and was named in Washingtonian Magazine as a top doctor in 2023. He and his wife, Kitty, have three grown children, and are expecting their first grandchild in April! He has been a coach for Special Olympics Maryland in soccer, softball, and basketball for the past 10 years, and is passionate about their mission. He enjoys swimming, golf, fishing, and being with his family and friends.
