Born in New York, he attended Columbia University for his undergraduate studies. After attending medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, he completed two residencies, first in internal medicine and then in ophthalmology. Dr. Goldberg is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology but chose ophthalmology as his career. He completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Shiley Eye Center in San Diego California. Since 2003, he has lived and worked in the New York City area. Dr. Goldberg is licensed in New York, California, Connecticut, New Jersey and Florida.
He is accepting new patients at both Visual Health locations.

Dr. Goldberg made a very scary situation easy to go through. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and even advised me to go back to my PCP for testing on conditions that could have caused my situation. I felt confident in his care.

Very professional and caring.
Very caring and answered all questions I had about my procedure and recovery. Still going to him to this day. I will continue to go to him until all my eye problems are resolved. I have been to many eye doctors and he is the best I have been to. Also, a big shout out to Dr Goldberg's assistant, Leo, he is very friendly and helpful
