Felt extremely well cared for this visit for significant back pain. It started with a request to Emily, who made this visit happen quickly. In the office we were cared for by at least 3 people, Ashley, Haley and maybe one more. Then Dr. Fruge, who adjusted meds and planned for a back injection next week. Then the efficient Emily again, to go over the details. A well oiled patient focused practice!

Dr. John “Daniel” Frugé is a fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine specialist, board certified in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic spine conditions through minimally invasive procedures.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University in New Orleans before completing medical school, residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.
Dr. Frugé’s expertise includes epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, kyphoplasty, and other advanced interventions. He also performs nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) to accurately evaluate nerve and muscle disorders. He emphasizes advanced diagnostics and interventional treatments rather than long-term oral medications, with the goal of restoring function and improving quality of life.
Dr. Frugé believes each patient’s experience with spine pain is unique and takes a personalized approach, listening carefully and tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs. As native of Sunset, Louisiana, he has deep roots in the Acadiana community.
