Dr. Bronsnick was not the best communicator and didn't show much empathy to the condition for which I scheduled my consultation. I explained that I scheduled the appointment as a second opinion and he presented two (very obvious) options, surgery or no surgery. There was little discussion on which option would be best based on my lifestyle, activities, age, condition etc. When I asked to look at the MRI that he had referenced. He made the assumption that I, "wouldn't know what i'm looking at". While this is partially true, the Dr. who provided my first opinion took the time to show me my MRI, show me where my problem areas were on my shoulder, describe the surgical procedure. My other Dr and I had a discussion and tried to find the optimal solution. Dr. Bronsnick very plainly provided two very obvious options and seemingly checked out of the conversation. I'm glad he was there to provide a second opinion but cant recommend him after my visit with others who provided more info.

I felt that the Doctor wasn't engaged or interested. Perhaps because it was end of the day? I expected to be asked about my profession, where/how I work, when do I experience pain (what activities), what have I done to address it -- I had to volunteer this info when I didn't see that being considered. There were moments of awkward silence in the exam room. I'd expected some education as to why pain is experienced, what causes it, what are the potential solutions, etc. None of that was brought up until I began asking questions about the next steps. His attitude seems to be like "can you just live with the pain?"
