Dr. Dane Todd was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln where he played fullback for the Huskers as a decorated college athlete. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, where he also went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery Internship and Residency. Following residency, Dr. Todd completed a Fellowship at the University of Utah in knee, hip, and shoulder arthroscopy as well as shoulder replacement. During fellowship, he also worked with the University of Utah athletic teams and the Utah Jazz NBA development team.
As one of the team physicians for the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and the team physician for Lincoln Southeast High School, Dr. Todd specializes in the treatment of sports injuries of the knee, hip, and shoulder, as well as shoulder replacements and general fracture care. He has also served as a hip arthroscopy specialist for the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Dr. Todd enjoys fishing, duck and goose hunting, playing ice hockey and watching college football. He is married and has three children.

Recently I saw Dr. Todd to discuss easing pain after a TKR. We decided on IT Band surgery. He took the time to talk with me and understand the issues I was having. He didn’t blow me off and tell me to take yet another round of PT like the previous Dr. He listened to me. We reviewed the options and I’m so glad I had Dr. Todd for the surgery. A day out from surgery no crutches and immediate release.

Dr Todd is a phenomenal surgeon/doctor. He explains things so well that I really never have too many questions for him after meeting with him. He tells it like it is which is a doctor that is top-notch in my book. Would highly recommend him to anyone!
