Dr. Dana Eilen, M.D. grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Dunwoody High School. After he graduated from St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine he moved to Greenville, NC and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at East Carolina University. He completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Marshall University where he was honored as Chief Fellow and designated as a Teaching Scholar. He completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.

He completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Eilen has authored numerous journal articles and presented research at regional and national meetings. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Comprehensive Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and has special certification in vascular ultrasound.
Before joining HVC Dr. Eilen served as the Director of Cardiovascular Services and Associate Professor of Medicine at Mercer University in Macon, Ga. He also served as Radiation Safety Officer for Mercer’s nuclear cardiology lab. In addition to his responsibilities at Mercer, he was also employed as the Medical Director for Compassionate Care’s Cardiac Hospice Program. Dr. Eilen has expertise in cardiac and vascular disorders. He can perform a multitude of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty/stenting of cardiac or peripheral blood vessels, pacemakers, stress testing, invasive and non-invasive cardiac ultrasound, internal and external cardiac monitors, and vascular ultrasound.
Dr. Eilen is married with 2 children and 2 dogs. He enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
