He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Comprehensive Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and has special certification in vascular ultrasound.
Before joining HVC Dr. Eilen served as the Director of Cardiovascular Services and Associate Professor of Medicine at Mercer University in Macon, Ga. He also served as Radiation Safety Officer for Mercer’s nuclear cardiology lab. In addition to his responsibilities at Mercer, he was also employed as the Medical Director for Compassionate Care’s Cardiac Hospice Program. Dr. Eilen has expertise in cardiac and vascular disorders. He can perform a multitude of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty/stenting of cardiac or peripheral blood vessels, pacemakers, stress testing, invasive and non-invasive cardiac ultrasound, internal and external cardiac monitors, and vascular ultrasound.
Dr. Eilen is married with 2 children and 2 dogs. He enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Dr Eilen listens well and always has a new plan to improve my cardiovascular health which is EXACTLY what I’m looking for. We have seen improvements in cholesterol and blood pressure. He has a new plan to do even better!
