Dr. Maurer earned his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 1998. Upon completion of his B.A., he earned his Doctorate of Osteopathy from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 and performed his internship and residency at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, Ohio. Dr. Maurer then pursued and completed his fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California.
Dr. Maurer is currently the team physician for McKinney North High School in McKinney, TX and Wakeland High School in Frisco, TX.
Dr. Maurer’s hobbies include traveling, weight-lifting, and spending quality time with his family.

He took time to carefully listen to my questions and to explain to me options. As this was the end of the day, I was particularly impressed.
Explains everything concisely, gives treatment options, and listens to my questions and concerns.

Dr Maurer is great. He takes the time to listen and answers all questions. He is very professional and extremely knowledgeable.
Very good explanation of what he is doing and he has a good staff that is professional
Dr. Maureen is personable, pragmatic and great at educating the patient to understand the problem at hand enabling him/her to make informed decisions and options of care.
Dr Maurer is the best. He is very caring and does a great job. Several years ago, I tore my hamstring, he repaired it, and I have not had a moment of problems with the hamstring.
Long wait times but I like Dr Maurer
Dr. Maurer and all of his staff are kind, friendly, patient and helpful. Dr. Maurer takes time to talk to you, explain exactly what the problem is and give you options for treatment. He also considers your specific situation and needs when suggesting a care plan. He does NOT practice, "cookie cutter" medicine. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Maurer!!!
Dr Maurer is always so personal and takes time to explain everything very thoroughly!
