Dr. Cyrun Ghavam, M.D., is a Board Certified, fellowship-trained spine surgeon and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He earned a combined B.S./M.S. from Stanford University and completed medical school at the University of Miami with Research Distinction and AOA honors. After residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, he completed a fellowship at OrthoCarolina Charlotte Spine Center.

With 20 years of experience in Huntsville, AL, Dr. Ghavam co-founded a spine implant manufacturing company. He also served as a flight surgeon in the Alabama Air National Guard and deployed to Bagram AB for Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2017, he completed a Master’s at MIT and earned a certificate in AI from the University of Oxford in 2024. Dr. Ghavam co-authored a study on the safety of spine surgery for patients on clopidogrel. He has helped develop spine programs in rural hospitals and underserved urban communities. He now practices in south Florida and Nashville/Murfreesboro, and is excited to serve Dickson and surrounding areas full-time.
