I had great medical dermatology care at Gonzaba Clinic. Dr Villanueva-Ramos is always attentive, thorough, and has helped me see real improvement. The staff is always friendly, professional, and very efficient. I’d highly recommend them.
Dr. Cynthia Villanueva Ramos is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician with a Fellowship training in Dermatology. She received her medical degree from Universidad Autónoma of Nuevo León, México; then completed Family Medicine Residency at Texas Tech University of the Permian Basin.
She has always had a special interest in skin-related conditions and procedures. To better understand and manage this wide variety of skin diseases, she pursued additional training focused only on dermatology through the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. This fellowship program was designed for Family Medicine Physicians who wish to develop knowledge and expertise of simple and complex skin conditions within a primary care setting.
Dr. Villanueva has contributed to chapters on skin pathologies in the Textbook Color Atlas of Family Medicine. She has also volunteered at free dermatology clinics during her training. This proved to her the need for skincare providers in underserved communities.
She believes Gonzaba Medical Group provides her an excellent opportunity to offer her medical specialty to the community, all under one roof.
During her free time, she especially enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughters. She enjoys running, cooking, and traveling. She believes the best way to experience a culture is through its food.
Her memberships include American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, and Texas Medical Association. Dr. Villanueva is fluent in English and Spanish.
