Cynthia Schaeffer, M.D., is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in Pediatrics. Doctor Schaeffer is a graduate of University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed her residency in 1994 at the University of Maryland. Doctor Schaeffer started Pediatric Place in 1997 with the idea that children should enjoy coming to the doctor. This gave Pediatric Place its slogan “Your kids are our kids”. She wanted to provide medical care in a warm friendly environment. Doctor Schaeffer and her husband Dan have two daughters. In her free time she enjoys boating and spending quality time with her family.
She always listens to me and any concerns. She talks to me as if we're a team taking care of my kids. I love that!
Pediatricians don’t get any better than this amazing woman. My family has been cared for by her for over twenty years and I’ll always be thankful for her overseeing my children’s care, she takes her time with them making sure physically they are healthy but also provides an incredible safe space to make sure mental health is good too.
