Dr. Duran has been a Family Physician since 2008 and joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2024. He chose Gonzaba Medical Group because “I chose GMG to be part of an accomplished and growing medical group that is very involved in the community and revered by many.”
He graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Post-Baccalaureate in Molecular Biology. Dr. Duran attended the University of Medicine of New Jersey in Stratford, New Jersey, and graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at DUKE / Southern Regional AHEC Family Medicine Residency in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Prior to joining Gonzaba Medical Group, Dr. Duran served as a family physician in Texas and North Carolina. He strives in serving the elderly community and has experience working with geriatric patients. Previously Dr. Cresencio Duran worked at Gaston Family Health Services in Gastonia, North Carolina, South Alamo Medical Group in San Antonio TX, and focuses on senior primary healthcare.
He’s a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. When he is not working, Dr. Cresencio Duran likes to travel around the globe, play tennis, sing karaoke, and read books.
Dr. Cresencio Duran is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Awesome doctor very easy to understand everything he said. Would highly recommend him. On another note Blanca the nurse was Awesome too. Very caring providers.

I happy to speak about Dr. CRESENCIO Duran. I haven been Dr. DURAN PATIENT FOR A SHORT WHILE BUT IN THIS SHORT WHILE. I HAVE FOUND Dr. DURAN TO BE PROFESSIONAL , LEARNED & INFORMATIVE. ON A PRRSONAL NOTE I FI N D HOM QUITE CONCERNED CARING AND AHEAD OF HIS PROFESSIONAL IN THAT BESIDES SHOWUNG THAT HE CARES. HE ALSO PUTS ALL EFFORT TO PREVENT, PROMOTE AND/ OR MAINTAIN GOOD HEALTHY HABITS. I FOR ONE AM NOT ONLY HAPPY BUT also RELEAVED AND I am grateful to have switched & chosen Dr. Cresencio Duran.
