Dr. Sauer, a New York native, received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Binghamton University. After that he attended the American University of the Caribbean where he earned his medical degree. Finally, in 2014 he moved to Connecticut and completed his residency at Bridgeport Hospital – Yale New Haven Health.
Currently, Dr. Sauer is an attending physician at Yale New Haven Hospital. He has an interest in minimally invasive gynecology including robotics, contraception, and high risk obstetrics. He is eager to work with medical students and residents as he enjoys teaching. He looks forward to becoming involved in the OB/GYN department at Yale Medical School along with the other members of County OB/GYN.
Outside of medicine Dr. Sauer enjoys traveling, music, exercising, and listening to podcasts. He has visited 19 countries, and completed six half marathons and one marathon. His favorite foods are peanut butter and pizza, and his happy place is the island of St. Maarten. He enjoys spending time with his partner, family, and friends.

Dr Sauer is THE BEST! He’s probably one of the only doctors I have that I feel really listens and knows me. He’s supportive and informative and takes time to explain everything.
