Because I could not change my appointment time, due to having a new job, he was not happy to see me. I did not get to explain or say the things I wanted to discuss. His comment was he needed to be at the Surgery Center and I was putting him behind. That is NOT my fault. The appointment was made almost a month prior. I was very disappointed in the treatment I received. He also said his follow up visits are typically 3 months, but he is booked up through March and would see me again in 6 months. I tried to tell him the shots in my back did not work last time, but again, he would not listen. He gave me 2 more steroid shots. I told him it wouldn't work and the steroids would make me gain more weight. All I want is my life back. His comment was don't eat & lose some weight and I would get my life back and walked out the door.

Was kind of disappointed. I was looking forward to getting to talk to him more about the pain I have. He talked over me when I started telling him where my pain was, and tended to shut me down during my explanation. However he seemed to somewhat understand and did order me a MRI. was told he could not treat my condition. I wish it could have been different, and I could rate a higher score. Kind of a let down. Also felt like he was rushing me out. I paid a high copy just to get in and out just to see him.

Very good doctor. Listens to what you say and wants to find answers. It is a shame he is only spinal. He could teach others doctors how to be doctors. Wait was what is expected of a doctors office.

I was called back to the exam room at my appointment time. I wasn't seen by Dr. Lincoln until I had waited for 55 minutes in the exam room. This has happened nearly every time I've seen Dr. Lincoln. There should be a better way to schedule so patients don't wait so long in the exam room. Taking an hour out of my day plus driving time for a 5 minute follow-up appointment doesn't make me happy.

I think after several visits to Dr Lincoln that his methods are extremely conservative. It seems that I am just being referred to other specialists as a measure to not perform needed procedures.

I was referred to Dr. Lincoln to discuss proceeding with RFA, but was told that it is a 3-step procedure and there is a 30%chance of failure. I'm assuming that he meant that insurance requires spinal injections twice before proceeding with RFA. I had been given that information years ago by another spinal doctor and have had the injections at least 6 times over the last few years. Dr. Lincoln told me that he was aware of my history, and he has done the injections 3 times himself. I felt he was rushed and just a little abrupt, but one cannot afford to irritate the one they must trust for their care. the old adage..."Don't bite the hand that feeds you."

My first visit. Seemed to know exactly what my problem was. VERY efficient. We shall see if treatment resolves.

I like Dr. Lincoln and I think he is the best pain doc - certainly in Huntsville. Unfortunately he was running way behind today and it was obvious he was pushed for time. Still, I got some treatment for my pain which has given me some relief. He told me to make an appointment for 2 months - nothing available until mid-December. Oh well, I will call him if I get desperate!!

His medical diagnosis is not wrong, I can’t really argue the x-rays nor his professional opinion... however, he gave me this long (rather personal) speech about degenerative back issues, how he can’t really help that, the VA/military is the only place on earth that treats injuries the way they do, oh - you hurt your back and you need money or other entitlements that would never fly in a normal world - like you need money payments, he went on and on and explained how he set with attorneys concerning legal (deposition) situations to support/counter claims... I told him to hold up, that’s none of his business, I’m a pay patient with insurance and his views on “the liberal military” is none of his concern nor do I appreciate his attitude. I’m attempting to contact Jeremy from administration right now and can’t get through the automated voice system.

Really like him, but always seems in a hurry and seems to rush the patient for information and in and out less than 10 min, after you have waited over 30 on him. Would like to see a little more time spent with patients.

Dr. Lincoln is very intellectual and knowledgeable, but he does not have a good bedside manner. I felt like a number and that my concerns were diminished. I was also surprised to see that he had not reviewed my paperwork (history of present illness, MRI scans, etc) prior to my visit. He did not allow me enough time to explain my situation, and he rushed through my exam. I, too, am a medical provider, so I understand the struggle that comes with adequately assessing/ diagnosing maladies all the while establishing good rapport with patients in a short amount of time. I do not feel confident in his ability to listen to patients. Therefore, I personally lack confidence in his ability to appropriately manage my care. Please LISTEN more; speak less.

I’ve been seeing him 2-21/2 years. I’ve told him time after time that my pain goes down one leg if not both and has since the 1990s. The last two appointments, he’s commented on how I don’t have radiating pain down my leg to my foot. Where are they when they’re sitting and talking to you? Because he and other doctors I’ve been to for other reasons apparently are not listening to what you have to say. Now I have to find another back doctor, this is so absolutely aggravating. And to someone who’s in chronic pain, you don’t have the time or feel like having to go through with this again and again.
