I came prepared with a list of 10 questions for Dr. Kingston regarding my continued knee replacement surgery recovery and return to increased normal physical activities including cycling, jogging and softball. Dr. Kingston took the time to answer each question clearly and thoroughly and provided me specific guidance on expectations including timelines for how to safely and carefully return to these activities. He assured me that my recovery and the condition of my knee were exactly where they should be 3 months following surgery.

I had to go back to him after a fall on the same knee he did to make again bend! Thank goodness so far no fractures that we can see! So he said take it easy and he will be keeping an eye on it! You can not get a better doctor than this man! He is really good! I never give comments but he deserves it!Thani you Dr.Kingston!

Dr. Colin Kingston, M.D. originally from Long Island, New York, has been with Tidewater Orthopaedics in Hampton, VA since 2003. During his military service, Dr. Kingston attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, and completed his residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in Texas. While in medical school and in the U.S. Air Force, he enjoyed playing rugby. Prior to joining the military, Dr. Kingston earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany. Currently, he is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, among others. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine.
