My pain is not a surgical issue and I was referred to the pain Dr for treatment As he did 6 months ago when this journey began.1st lt no help.So after a cardiac eval to rule out heart I went for 2 epidrals little to no change in pain.Now pain dr who will do more epidurals and or injections in sholder.Meanwhile the pain continues.

My lower back went completely out three months ago. I could not walk, stand, or sit. Doctor Howard got me into surgery within 48 hours. It has been 3 months and and my back feels great. I can do just about anything without pain with caution. I am so thankful for his skill and concern for my health. My life is back to normal. Thank you so much for the great care.

Receptionist said he was running over an hour behind Rescheduled for a future date. Realized then that the appointments are scheduled 5min apart. Someone should look into this. I will want to see the doctor for more than 5min. This is the first time we have had an issue witj Orthopaedic group

As always, Dr. Howard was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and patient oriented. There is no BS with this Dr and that's why I love him and have referred anyone who asks for a spine Dr to him. I love that he's focused on healing me as safely and quickly as possible and he understands how important quality of life is for people. I'm 36 and he did a 2 level ACDF on me in October '21 and I just visited him for a separate lower back spinal issue. In all honesty, my neck feels like nothing ever happened - it's better than I can ever remember it feeling - which is why he was my first choice when my lower back gave me issues. I cannot recommend him enough - Dr. Howard is the VERY best.

First I must tell you the kind of work I do. I am a hard working nurse????. Lifting, pushing and transporting patients on a daily basis. In short, wear and tear on the back. He was very Interested in what information I could share to help with a final diagnosis. He didn’t act rushed and bored which was the experience I had with the previous Ortho doctor. The nurse practitioner was also extremely informative and helpful. I finally believe that my medical issue will be resolved and I will no longer suffer. Dr. Howard specializes in spines so if you have an issue with your spine I highly recommend you make an appointment with him.

was late to appointment. Was unconcerned about another spinal pain related issue that I shared.. Was a bit arrogant regarding some info that I asked about pertaining to possible more aggressive treatment.

I appreciated that the default response to my pain was not simply to say “stop doing the physical activities that you enjoy.”

I like Dr Howard. However, the wait time is unacceptable!! My appointment was @ 3:45 and I didnt see the Dr until 5:30. If a Dr is going to be more than 15 minutes past an appointment time, inform the patient!!! My time is valuable!

He didn't see my problem on my mri and said I just had a sore back. Fast forward 1 1/2 years I go back and he then saw it on that same mri! He flies in and out of the room and doesn't explain anything. You better ask while he's in there!

Sat in the waiting room for 2hrs. then the examination room for 20 min. to have a 5 min. conversation. Not my best visit.

I would like to have my MRI explained to me. I had severe pain in my groin when I returned for my follow-up. It was then Dr Howard said well, you have stenosis and pinched nerves.

I go in to see doctor 3rd visit within 2 months, have had 2 epidurals. I tell him my lower back is still in pain only getting worse. The medications he prescribed the first time have done nothing for me. The pain is intense and he still prescribe.

He refuses to actually listen to his patients when they have a complaint. When a patient states a specific issue in a specific place and those statements are ignored and an other part of the body is referred to. That’s infuriating.

If a patient comes in and the doctor orders x-rays . The results of those x-rays should be explained to the patient.. This was my 3rd or 4th time seeing this doctor but this last time was for a different issue.

We will see if his diagnosis is right. He was very personable, fast, and confident.

I wouldn’t change from this doctor, but some communication from staff as to why the long wait would b greatly appreciated. Appt at 2:30. Called back about 3:50. Was already hurting & this made it worse.
