Serving the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, community, Christopher Porter, DO, is one of two leading physicians specializing in family medicine and aesthetics at Lancaster Family Health. A member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Dr. Porter continues to strive for top industry standards for the patients and the community he serves.
Dr. Porter graduated from the University of Pittsburgh before going on to study at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He completed both his internship and residency in family practice at the Community Hospital of Lancaster, where he was named Chief Family Practice Resident and awarded the Campisano Award for the Most Outstanding Family Practice Resident.
Dr. Porter also specializes in geriatric care for patients in skilled nursing facilities and built the foundations of his career providing care for patients as the medical director of Heartland Hospice. He is currently the medical director of Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation and The Middletown Home.
Continuing his career-long commitment to the Lancaster community, Dr. Porter has teamed up with Dr. Mark Cohen to form Lancaster Family Health. Lancaster Family Health offers a variety of health and aesthetic treatments to patients of all ages, including SculpSure laser contouring, laser hair removal, and osteopathic manipulative treatments.
Dr. Porter is a devoted husband to Tiffany and a loving father of three children, Dylan, Cole, and Kaylea. He attends Calvary Church in Lancaster where he is involved in the children’s ministry team. Dr. Porter is also a Cub Scout Leader and enjoys backpacking, camping, and cycling.
