Wish he had provided a more thorough explanation of the procedure when I was there. I received an injection in my right shoulder, but not my left. I wasn’t sure why I couldn’t get it for the pain in my left shoulder. He was personable but quick. I will need to research the total shoulder replacement on my own.

Very friendly and concerned and listen to me. He explained X-rays to my mother and I and proceeded with injection come back 4 months possibly ct scan if still having issue. Highly recommend

He talked down to us and had poor bedside manners.

Dr. McDowell goes above and beyond to do the right things for his patient. This was my 5th orthopedic surgery all at different locations over the years. Without doubt, this is the most impressive service before, during , and after procedure.

Dr. Christopher McDowell is Orthopaedic East’s newest fellowship-trained orthopedic physician. He completed his fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Massachusetts, where he also supported the team physicians of the Boston Red Sox. Dr. McDowell completed his undergraduate program at The Citadel, where he was an accomplished student-athlete and the team captain of the football team his senior year. Dr. McDowell has been married to his wife, Peg, for ten years and has a 7-year old daughter, who loves softball. We are excited to have Dr. McDowell join our team!
