Dr. Christopher Hammerle, M.D., is a native of California and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine. He then completed medical school at Saint Louis University and did his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Colorado. After residency, he remained on faculty as Associate Professor of Medicine before moving to Charlottesville to complete a Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at the University of Virginia. Dr. Hammerle received advanced training in Interventional Endoscopy and Endoscopic Ultrasound at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was also involved in clinical research.
