Dr. Christopher Galbick, DO

Dr. Christopher Galbick, D.O., was born and raised in Oregon. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dominican University of California, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went on to complete his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Florida. During his studies, Dr. Galbick conducted medical research investigating the use of cells for neuronal replacement therapy in patients with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. His later research focused on evaluating the efficacy of interventional psychiatry through real world case studies.

After graduating as a physician, Dr. Galbick completed his psychiatric residency at Largo Medical Center. During his time as a resident, Dr. Galbick was selected to be Chief Resident among his peers. A strong proponent of medical education, Dr. Galbick enjoyed passing on his knowledge to medical students and supervising new psychiatry residents. He has also co-authored a handbook to teach psychiatry to future generations of resident physicians.

Dr. Galbick’s clinical experience spans the full range of psychiatry, including psychiatric treatment in outpatient and inpatient settings, telepsychiatry, ECT interventional psychiatry, and emergency medicine psychiatry. He is dedicated to addressing the mental health needs of our community and has provided treatment to thousands of patients struggling with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anorexia nervosa, schizophrenia, and substance abuse.

With a firm belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality healthcare, Dr. Galbick strives to find ways to benefit those who are underserved. He has volunteered his time and expertise to provide medical care for patients unable to afford insurance. He has also provided psychiatric care for veterans at both the Bay Pines VA and the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital.

Dr. Galbick practices compassionate, evidence-based medicine to address the needs of his patients. He integrates each person’s medical history, personal values, and future goals to develop an individualized treatment plan.
