Dr. CJ Bush is an orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee surgery. Dr. Bush grew up in the metro Detroit area. He completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, followed by his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Following his residency, he pursued a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the University of Michigan. During this time he worked as a team doctor for the U of M football and hockey teams. Following fellowship, Dr. Bush remained at U of M as a clinical faculty member before deciding to join Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons and return to his hometown. Dr. Bush’s clinical interests include open and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder (shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization, complex reconstruction) and the knee (ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery, cartilage repair, patellar stabilization), as well as fractures of the extremities.

For my first visit with Dr. Bush I was very pleased and satisfied with what was discussed & overall care. He was very nice, clear communication and made it easy to communicate with. He was understanding, made the visit easy and I feel comfortable to continue going back as needed. :)
