Very good surgeon.

My appointment was very unimpressive. The doctor was not very personable or seem to care about me and probably spent a total of five minutes in the room with me.

He listens, he’s empathetic and has done nothing but completely help with my myriad yet , so far, orthopedic problems. I really appreciate Doc Behr.

He was late, blamed MRI tech for not being more accurate and couldn’t come up with a diagnosis for a persistent problem. Told a very active person in their 30’s to possibly “ease off the exercise”. Total waste of $350.

Doesn’t like to be asked of anything that are patients concern, he’s always late and when it comes is in a rush and doesn’t answer questions . The surgery wasn’t good and still don’t know exactly what he did

Waited an hour no apology or acknowledgment that they were running behind. Dr visit was 2 mins. Everything of over booked for max profit not care. Going for workers comp wouldnt continue to go here with my person ppo insurance.

Patiently listened and informed me of the suspicion of his onsite diagnosis and moving forward to further check for MRI results to confirm…appreciate knowing my problem

Overall a wonderful doctor. I rated 4 stars only because of time waiting to be seen. I believe waiting over 45 minutes is really not considering of a patients time. I personally am a caregiver who has to have someone take over for me when I have an appt. I guess I'm just ranting here, but perhaps booking appointments is just too close. Sorry and thank you.

Dr. Behr gave a thorough explanation of the problem with my knee. He followed up with the medical options I had in order to expedite the healing process.

Great pre-op visit, Dr Behr answered all my questions and concerns about my up coming surgery. My expectations are that I will have a great procedure with Dr. Behr and his team.

I appreciated Dr Beth’s input but honestly the reception staff and the process of waiting to be seen needs some work. I waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes before I got called to come back. And then waited another 20 mins in the treatment room.

WAITED1.45 MIN. from my appt time and this doctor could not have cared any less about my injury. I had to suggest a cortisone shot for temporary pain relief. (which his office doesn't do BTW) He went on to lmk I'm too old (I'm a very fit 62) to have surgery to repair and instead suggested I wait until I need a full hip replacement!!

Punctual, had reviewed chart so was prepared knowledgeably on my son's injuries to make an informed judgement on new injury.

Was running 50 + min behind. He said 2 or 3 persons out and they were covering. I made The appt for both shoulders, upper arms and elbows. He t told the nurse I would have to make another appt for elbows. I told her Zi drive 2.5 hrs to get there and why can’t he do my elbows also. I ask about elbows and he said he didn’t think I had a chipped elbow. He didn’t feel or X-ray it. He is a dr of too few words. He said I could have a rotator cuff He did X-ray shoulders. I asked him what type of images would show him. He said, mri, I said let’s do it. MRI IS March 17.

Very nice. Timely in your service to the patient and that is always appreciated. I also get treated by Dr. Toliver and he is terrific also.

Apparently Dr. Behr doesn’t see patients who had surgeries with other surgeons. That’s fine, it’s his prerogative — though it seems rather silly when all I am seeking is a consult and a referral to traditional post-op PT. That said, if he doesn’t want to see a patient then, first, he needs to make that clear to his staff who all knew I was 10-weeks post op and even asked me to bring the op report. Secondly, if he already knows he won’t see me, then when he enters the room he should state something like “I’m sorry, there’s been a misunderstanding and I can imagine how frustrating that is. I will help you resolve this or get someone who can.” Instead he peppered me with questions, extremely curtly as if I was wasting his time, demonstrated a complete lack of compassion for my situation, kept telling me to do things like return to Kaiser HMO, which is legally impossible under Work Compand and was dismissive and rude, at one point even stating “well, that’s not my problem.”

Very personable, clearly describes everything and helps to show path to recovery.

I feel Dr Christopher Behr is the best orthopedic dr he did an excellent job on my right knee replacement. I have no complaints. I only wish he also did surgery on shoulders my right one is bad

Didn't want to hear me when I told him I was in pain just didn't have a bedside manner or compassion

Waited over 2 hours for Dr Behr to show up in my exam room. This orthopedic office needs updating. No computers in exam rooms so you can't see the x-ray you just paid for. Furniture beat up. Doctors look dirty (white coats need washing.) Dr Behr could not care less about your problem. I won't go back.

Great doctor. No BS on his part. Dr. Behr gave me a quick assessment and decided on a fast plan of treatment. I very much appreciate his expertise and candor.

Wait was 1hr and 20min and visit was 5mins before he left the room without saying goodbye (said he was grabbing something and had his medical assistant do it) and without asking if I had questions or understood the Dx and treatment plan. I was left to wait another 10min in the room.

I can't say enough great things about Dr Behr and his nurse, Blanca. Great Care and great people!

Dr. Behr is a great doctor and explains your diagnosis thoroughly. Very professional and has polite delivery of sometimes bad news. Always answers all your questions patiently. The only downside is the wait time to be seen, this is likely not his fault and he is just overbooked but it’s rather bothersome to have to wait at least an hour in the waiting room after your designated appointment time each time you’re seen.

Waits are usually long, but today I waited 1 hr 15 minutes in the examination room before the wonderful Dr. Behr could see me.

The Dr visit itself was fine, but the wait was not. I was required too check-in 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork that could have been done online, then it took an hour to be seen. I think that's unreasonable.

This was my 2nd visit to Dr. Behr. The 1st he seemed distant. This was a much better experience and he was engaged. Both appointments I really appreciate his willingness to talk about all my options and he does not push me into a decision.

Very abrupt and brief. I felt he did not want to spend any time with me. He made me feel like he just needed to get to the next patient.

This is my favorite doctors office to go to in San Diego. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Dr Behr is the best!!

Have had both shoulders corrected by Dr. Behr and both came out great. Very short recovery time. I find Dr. to be very thorough , gives me his full attention and takes his time with me. On top of that he is also a very personable and friendly gentlemen. Would not hesitate to have him work on me again but i'm out of shoulders.

Bedside manner is nonexistent. Felt rushed even though Dr was late for multiple appointments. Did not review chart before proceeding with procedure and verifying the patients issues/symptoms and even extremity effected. Once seen had maybe 4min of the doctors time to ask questions and have a small invasive procedure performed.

Still and always will be the best.

I think he explained things well. I didn't feel rushed and he gave me time to make decisions. I thought his manner was distant bit not rude. I waited quite a long time for him to see me which I understand can happen sometimes, but I would have appreciated some acknowledgement of my time waiting.
