Christopher Bates, M.D., is excited to become a part of the community here and finally call Northeast Florida home. Dr. Christopher Bates grew up in Dalton, Georgia. Ever since being an exchange student in Germany in high school, he has loved to travel the world, and he has been blessed to continue this passion with his wife, Miranda. They have lived in several states and have recently relocated from California. Their families have both spent ample time in the St. Simons area and are very familiar with north Florida. Dr. Bates enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding, golf, and loves to spend his time off with his son, Brody, and his daughter, London. He is also a major college football fan. Go Dawgs!

Dr. Bates is the best! He’s very attentive and thorough, not to mention he’s an extremely talented surgeon. I would without a doubt recommend him to anyone!!

Dr. Bates is warm and personable. He was the only surgeon I consulted with who listened to my concerns and addressed them one by one to build on a whole plan instead of jumping right to "well the combination of these treatments will get the results you want". I felt that was significant because not everyone is looking for the same outcome for the same concerns. His whole team was fantastic and worked so well together that I was confident in asking questions of each person along the way - and believe me, I asked a lot of questions! My surgery went as expected and recovery has been far easier than I anticipated. Even though I'm not completely healed, I can already tell he 100% hit the mark and I already feel more comfortable and confident in my body!
