Seemed rushed and no thorough diagnosis. Based it off others and not his own assessment

Dr Heck knew more about my back before he met with me than any doctor I have seen yet. He answered all my questions thoroughly and left me with a great sense of confidence in his handling of my surgery. I am extremely happy that I came to see him.

Very attentive . He answered all my questions. Dr. Heck explained the surgical procedures in detail. All in all it was a great experience. I would not hesitate recommending Dr. Heck to anyone.

He was knowledgeable enough, but his bedside manner left something to be desired. He already seemed impatient with me when he came into the room and was very short, conversationally. He seemed to have made his diagnosis before ever meeting me. I feel that he made his decision based off of outdated information and claimed that he didn't have any updated imaging, even though I know I had imaging done after what he claimed he had in his possession .I felt that he dismissed my concerns and was condescending. I wasn't pleased with my interaction. I only gave him 3 stars, because I feel that he is knowledgeable and experienced, but like I said previously, I felt his bedside manner could do with some improvement.
Dr. Christopher A. Heck joined Southlake Orthopaedics in January 2018. Prior to joining our team, Dr. Heck practiced orthopaedics in Montgomery, Alabama for the last 10 years specializing in spine surgery. Dr. Heck always thought he would follow in his father’s footsteps becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. Instead, he quickly learned in medical school he had a strong love for physics and orthopaedics became the surgical field he would choose. Dr. Heck is from Mobile, Alabama.
