Background
Dr. DiPompeo grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She spent most of her youth playing sports and spending time with her family.
Dr. DiPompeo met her husband while she was in medical school at University of Illinois at Chicago. He has always enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of time hiking and camping and has enjoyed sharing that passion with Dr. DiPompeo who has developed a love for it as well. Dr. DiPompeo and her husband are excited to share this passion with their two sons, Theodore and Phillip.
Education Pathway
After completing college at Northwestern University, Dr. DiPompeo earned a Masters in Health Management at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA then applied to medical school. She earned her medical degree at The University of Illinois at Chicago. Following medical school, Dr. DiPompeo was accepted into the Orthopedic Surgery residency program at Southern Illinois University where she trained for an additional 5 years before graduating. After this, Dr. DiPompeo completed a year-long fellowship to sub-specialize in adult spine surgery. She underwent her fellowship at the Center for Spine and Orthopaedics in Thorton, CO under Dr. Mike Janssen who is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on spinal disc replacement and motion preserving procedures of the spine.
After completing her training, Dr. DiPompeo went into practice as a spine surgeon in Peoria, IL. While in practice there, the opportunity to join the outstanding surgeons at Premier Bone and Joint Centers arose. After a year in the Denver area, Dr. DiPompeo and her husband knew they wanted to raise their children where the outdoor activities they enjoy were more accessible and she could not let the prospect of moving to Laramie and such an esteemed group let her by.

I thought she was very good.I can't wait to start working with her
She answered all my questions and explained the next weeks of recovery.
After waiting four months for an appointment, she hadn’t reviewed any of my history, did not perform a physical exam, did not read the imaging reports and tried to convince me my spine pain was from an awkward stretch several months ago. She does not listen to the patient and was not interested in helping at all, I suspect because I wasn’t in need of fancy spine surgery. Do not recommend under any circumstances.
She is such a blessing to have her here. Absolutely 100%+ happy with my procedure. I could not say enough great thing about her.
This was my first time meeting her and she was great. She was very informed. Took time to explain those and I very much enjoyed talking with her. Look forward to seeing her again.
She is great!
She is wonderful! She explains everything so well. We choose to see her because she is so kind and respectful.
Great surgeon with a very nice demeanor.
Dr. Depompeo Tthank you!
Dr DiPompeo was very detailed in explaining what the results were from my nerve test and all 3 options I need to consider to fix my neck. She took her time with a calm demeanor with no pressure to make a quick decision. Unfortunately all were a surgical solution as the physical therapy didnt fix it this time. She is always pleasant and calm and that is what I need.
