My doctor has taken care of my health since the first visit. Went in with cold and cough was checked for strep and Covid luckily I had neither. 🙏 she prescribed antibiotics. Since I have Cancer she always makes sure I can take medication with no issues. I admire her dedication and her staffs dedication.

When I have to constantly answer same question repeatedly over and over again. Also them trying to force me to make them main care team. .ade me a very uneasy consumer/ lient/customer. Trying to pump up practice more than paying attention to client/pt. concerns or needs. Also scheduled me for other appointment just a few days later which I cancelled/reschuldeded due to conflicts. Then was told well, we will move it out further so insurance can't come back on us or maybe you. Very unhappy.

It's always my pleasure to see Dr Cuevas no matter how much in pain or what my problems are she's always there to help don't wear another she'll get you the right help if she can't help you but she is a very good doctor I enjoy my visits with her and her professionality. She is such a thorough doctor who takes her time to listen & addresses your health issues for that I am truly happy.
Dr. Christen Cuevas, M.D. earned her Medical Doctorate degree and Master of Public Health degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout medical school, she served on the student council and was involved in community health programs such as Doctors on the Street. In her Public Health training, she specialized in quality improvement and patient education.
Dr. Cuevas completed her dual residency training at Loma Linda University in southern California, in the combined Family and Preventive Medicine residency program. She was elected as Chief Resident and won awards for her work in quality improvement and patient safety. After graduating, she stayed on as faculty, training medical students and residents, while practicing primary care and addiction medicine at a Patient-Centered Medical Home in an underserved urban area. She also served for several years on the board of Directors of the California Academy of Preventive Medicine.
Additionally, Dr. Cuevas has done extra training in Lifestyle Medicine and Addiction Medicine, and has completed the University of California’s fellowship in Psychiatry for Primary Care Providers.
She went into the medical field to provide compassionate, ethical primary care to people in underserved communities. She chose her specialty training based on where she could best develop skills in whole-person care.
She chose to come to Gonzaba Medical Group because she wants to be a part of supporting its important mission and values as it grows.
Dr. Cuevas speaks English and Spanish fluently and is a Spanish Healthcare Interpreter. She grew up in Kansas City, but has also lived in Guadalajara, California, and Ohio. In her spare time, Dr. Cuevas loves to read, write, and compose music.
