Listens well and very attentive to his clients. Explain what is going on in laymen's terms so we can understand. Very friendly and approachable. Make sure you understand everything before you leave

I had my right hip replaced on 3/20/26 and everything has gone well, No pain and my recovery has been rapid thus far. I highly recommend him and wish that I would have gotten this done sooner.

Chris Hoedt, MD is Orthopaedic East’s latest surgeon to join the team. He specializes in hip and knee replacement and revisions (redos). His fellowship was in Adult Reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania. He enjoys doing research and helps select articles for publication in some of the top adult reconstruction journals.
Dr. Hoedt practiced in Nashville, TN for a couple of years before coming to Eastern North Carolina. He is a US Army combat veteran who returned from Syria in early 2023 where he was awarded an Army Commendation Medal.
He believes in an individualized approach to the management of hip and knee conditions. He actively engages the patient and their families in their care plan and incorporates the use of advanced techniques and technologies in a patient-specific fashion.
Outside of work, Dr. Hoedt enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and four amazing children at school events, extracurriculars, trips to the parks and beaches, and visiting family.
