She took her time with me, was thoughtful, answered all of my many questions and was very compassionate. I am grateful.

EFM caused baby to actively kick, roll, and hide so that monitoring was not able to give a consistent enough readout. Although kick counts and FHR accelerations and recoveries were quickly recorded. The test was repeated, I believe 5 times (20 minutes each) for almost 2 hrs. As a mom, feeling her 4th healthy baby panicking for more unsuccessful and stressful testing was difficult to understand. Instead of acknowledging the obvious failure of the test or the reactive response of the baby, or using a stethoscope or Doppler-more EFM was ordered. Each time monitoring was stopped baby calmed back to normal activity. But more was ordered and the same result came from another hour of EFM at the hospital. I understand the obligation to follow prescriptive protocol, But, when such is failing, an evaluation of what is being measured and why should be considered. Like, is this baby not reactive? What about listening to FHR, feeling the kicks, or watching them visibly move the monitors?

She is absolutely Wonderful. I had ovarian surgery and it went beautifully. She was informative and helpful throughout the entire process.

Always a pleasure to see Dr Czapla!

Seemed very rushed and was rough with me. Didn’t tell me a cervix check would hurt and it made me cry it hurt so bad. I don’t think she’s a bad doctor, maybe just had a bad day? I understand I’m a complex patient and don’t routinely see her but I wish one of these doctors would take the time to sit down and explain everything to me and be honest about my health and the health of my baby so I don’t have to guess everything is okay.
