After completing a residency in Ophthalmology at the Weill Cornell Medical College – New York Presbyterian Hospital, Doctor Mango then completed a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute - University of California Los Angeles.
Doctor Mango has published in major scientific journals and has authored multiple textbook chapters. He is actively involved in scientific research projects. His research interests include robotic ocular surgery and evaluation of technological advances in the field of retina. Dr. Mango has been a lecturer and moderator at national and international meetings. He has participated as a principal investigator and co-investigator in multiple clinical trials. Doctor Mango co-founded and currently serves on the board of trustees for the Vit-Buckle Society. He serves as an editor for the Retina Times, official publication of the American Society of Retina Specialists. Doctor Mango also contributes as a reviewer to multiple scientific journals.
Doctor Mango has been awarded and recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor® and as a Super Doctor®. Additionally, he has been featured in Westchester Magazine and New York Magazine as a top doctor for several years. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, birdwatching, and photography.
