Dr. Charles Taunt is committed to providing compassionate, quality care. Dr. Taunt's practice is focused on achieving excellent patient outcomes in hip and knee replacement surgery. His passion is to enable patients to achieve the best outcome possible with the shortest recovery time possible. In addition, he has a special interest in and frequently cares for complications in hip and knee replacement surgery, including the surgical treatment of component loosening, material failure, infection, joint instability, metal hypersensitivity/allergy, and fractures around a hip or knee prosthesis. He teaches other orthopedic surgeons at the state and national level, lecturing frequently across the country on different aspects of hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Taunt is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University and is active teaching in the Michigan State University/ McLaren Greater Lansing orthopedic surgery residency program. He instructs young surgeons in training and enjoys working daily with orthopedic residents, interns and medical students.
