Dr. Charles Funderburk embraces interaction with patients. He believes orthopedics is a specialty that provides more interaction than most other fields of medicine and allows the opportunity to help patients lead a more positive, productive life. Dr. Funderburk feels like he learns something new from his patients every day. He thrives on talking with his patients, learning about their families, hobbies and views on life. Dr. Funderburk knows he can take care of body mechanics, but caring for his patients as unique individuals is what he believes makes his job so special. He recognizes how life can take an unfortunate turn in an instant. As a lacrosse player at the University of North Carolina, he experienced injury. Following the injury, he worked with an orthopedic specialist who made an incredible impact on his road to recovery as well as his decision to pursue medicine. Dr. Funderburk has worked hard to pay forward that experience. He has served as Head Team Physician for Edmond North High School athletics for more than 20 years. He and his wife, Bev, enjoy staying active, supporting community organizations and spending time with their three adult children.

Dr. Funderburk has treated mine and my family’s ailments for over 20 years. Would not go to anyone else!
Great doctor!
Dr Funderburk is a talented physician with great bedside manner. Wouldn’t want anyone else to take care of me and my husband as well.
He took plenty of time with me to explain an upcoming surgery and make sure that I have no questions.
Straight forward discussion of my condition and what I needed. I appreciated it. Seems to have a solid system and plan to get me to healthy. Approachable personality and made me at ease
