Dr. Cefalu’s love of Medicine came early and was largely inspired by his own father who worked as a Geriatrician. However, it wasn’t until late medical school that he understood that Orthopaedic Surgery was his destined path. As he witnessed the life-altering results that often accompany the treatment of Orthopaedic injuries and ailments, he knew precisely which field of Medicine he was meant to pursue.
Today, Dr. Cefalu enjoys treating the entire arm and hand - from shoulder to fingertip. He finds pleasure not only in helping his patients find relief from their ailments but also in genuinely getting to know people from all walks of life.
Having grown up in Slidell, Dr. Cefalu and his wife are happy to move their family back to their home state of Louisiana, and he is proud to be serving Baton Rouge and surrounding communities as part of the Bone and Joint Clinic.
