he took a little over 5 minutes to talk to to me about a serious problem with my eyes and he received 2 phone calls during that time. I felt uncomfortable like he was in a rush plus when I declined to receive the shots in my eyes- he nixed my concerns.

I don't know if my case is being taken seriously. Two appointments ago, he said I had activity and got an injection. The following appointment, he said the scan was the same as the previous appointment, and now I have activity with distortion and double vision.

He is a very compassionate man. I give all the credit for helping with my eye problems.. he is a great asset to Ocala eye.

Did not say a word about late exam. Appointment time 8:30. Exam time 9:50. I will not be back to see Dr Samy.

Needs a gentler touch with some patients and exercise more patience and take more time as well. Also not everyone can hear in the dark. Felt a lot like "Hi..Bye"then he was gone!

This physician seemed to be in a hurry & I felt he did not listen to me. He was too focused on the fact I didn't have my previous records & when I tried to explain why, he "sshh'd" me & started typing in his note. During the exam, I asked repeatedly to take a break because the light he had in my only good eye, was causing pain. He grabbed my face and said " we need to continue ". I will not see him again!

This is a very busy practice. Physician appeared competent. This was a specialty appointment because I had noticed vision changes. Dr. Samy is a retina specialist. Dr. Samy speaks extremely quickly so I paraphrased what he told me back to him to make sure I understood correctly. He answered my questions. This is my 3rd appointment with a practitioner at this practice. Each time I feel like the practitioner was racing to cram in as many patients as possible. Not a practice for anyone who needs a minute to absorb information the doctor relays before asking questions.

Great Doc. I have been seeing him for a long time and my vision in my treated eye ( AMD ) is still as good as when we started treatment.

He's great but fast n in n out

Very clinical. Looked at my eyes. Typed on computer. Said diagnosis to me which I knew already. Check back in 3-4 months. Was given eye vitamin sample to take. When I mentioned another 2 symptoms I was experiencing, he said I need to see another eye clinic DR…he only does retinas. 🥹

Caring conservative treatment!

We spent 3+ hours in a cold office waiting for my 93-year old mother to be seen by Dr Samy as a new patient, with prior wet macular degeneration issues that had previously been treated with injections by a retina specialist outside of Ocala. Supposedly all of her medical history had been forwarded for Dr Samy to review prior to the appointment but it was somehow inaccessible at a different office location. Dr Samy saw her for 5 minutes and informed us that she had macular degeneration (which had been diagnosed months before at another eye dr), and he then handed us some information to review and decide for ourselves if we she should have additional injections. Total waste of time.

I was never told ahead of time that my eyes would be diailated so i did not bring a driver. I had to drive myself home after having my eyes dialated which was dangerous and uncomfortable.

He takes the time to talk to me and he is very kind.

The doctor did provide information about my condition, but his manner seemed somewhat abrupt to me. I've had my eyes examined many times without discomfort, but Dr. Samy's exam felt rough and it hurt the way he pulled my eyes open. I also had to wait for more than an hour.

I am so greatful to have Dr. Samy as my retinal specialist. He keeps up with changes in medications to help preserve my sight, and is proficient in administering the medicine where it is needed.

Never looked into my eyes. I don't even know if he read the right films because he came up with information that was never even mentioned from Dr. Pollack the previous month. Seemed to be in a rush and didn't explain anything well enough to understand. Prescribed eye drops that he said wouldn't even make a difference.

He says things by rote and sounds like a recorder. He repeats the same old stuff on each visit and says you'll never go blind from MD - no kidding but you're left almost blind! No consolation there or any truth of the matter. There are certainly different degrees of blindness. Otherwise he seems to be a good doctor - but who knows because he's such a robot......

Horrible, told me I was going blind and there was nothing that he can do and cataract surgery would not help even though it was recommended by one of Ocala Eye Doctors and bought another doctor at the Rena Institute in Pompano Beach Florida the best he could do what's to inject my eyes for an unlimited time. He asked me what I thought of his diagnosis and I said it was wrong and it was time to get a second opinion. He was insensitive and you look to be on some kind of drugs, he was extremely hyper and fidgety.

Waiting time is hell but he`s worth the wait. Lov Him! Linda W
