Chad Campion, M.D.

Dr. Campion explained the procedure, the pros and cons, went over my X-rays and MRI results (no one had before), and answered all questions. I feel as if he heard and understood my issue, and gave me valuable feedback. I would happily see him for any orthopedic issues I had.

Everything went so smoothly. I was called shortly after I arrived for X-ray and a visit from the nurse practitioner. Within a few minutes Dr Campion came in and discussed my situation with me. He was so thorough and gave me plenty of time to ask questions and hr answered every question. He is a great doctor with an excellent bedside manner.

It was my first visit to this office . They took 2 x-rays then sent in a nurse practitioner . Never discussed my x-rays or a diagnosis , just wrote a RX for muscle relaxer . I never saw the Dr. I have had hip replacements and a minor back procedure at Campbell Clinic and always saw the Doctors . Not sure why this office visit would be any different . Especially on my first visit .

Wasn't very compassionate. Came across very cold and to the point. Didn't seem to care much about what I had to say, which was that I had been through all this before and I know my diagnosis from previous tests. He said I was having a muscle spasm. I know the difference between a muscl spasm and my diagnosis of herniated and bulging discs. I respect he's earned the title Dr. but when you're in pain it would be nice to have some compassion and understanding.

Confident in his diagnosis, very professional and friendly. He sat down to talk and act d like he had all day to spend with me. Refreshing to not feel rushed.

Dr. Campion did my L4-5 PLIF (w/ L5-S1 revision) in June 2024. Surgery went great, I’m one month post op and have been walking 1-2 miles a day. Since the second week. He’s personable but direct, he provides good explanations, and he doesn’t sugar coat or exaggerate potential risks or outcomes. His assistant, Heather, is AWESOME too!

Incredibly disappointed in Dr Campion. We understand when doctors don’t have exact diagnoses and solutions but offering nothing up as reason for pain and no possible alternatives for pain resolution is unacceptable. There must have been some bias this doctor holds of which we have no idea. We are thinking through what that bias could be. Doctors like this contribute to our overall distrust of the medical community and discourage patients advocating for themselves.

I left without having any answers. When I asked what was causing me to be in so much pain. I was told “ I don’t know, I’m not looking at your CT scan.” I didn’t feel heard and felt very rushed. I know they see ALOT of patients but I felt like it was a waste of my time honestly. I left with NO answers as to WHY I was having these problems. And I was looking forward to this visit to finally have solid answers from a specialist

He says I don't need surgery but it's AWEFUL that my legs ache all the time & back is in terrible pain constantly & that it's hard for me to sleep at night from all the pain I'm in .I have one Dr that tells me my back is in terrible shape then the other one says it's not bad enough to do anything with but to take pain pills , therapy or go back to Dr Park to get injections to see if that works .I have been hurting for months & no one wants to help me ..WHY !!??

I just did not like him. His demeanor , attitude and everything else was a little off to me. His NP was GREAT ! If she could do my surgery I would let her but him absolutely NOT ! Based off his bedside manners , he couldn’t operate on my pet rock if I had one. Also the NP said if I were to get surgery I would typically be off for a minimum of 2 weeks. Why would the doctor say 4 days. Who in there right mind goes to work after 4 days of recovery from surgery ??? Anyway as I stated his NP was wonderful , him not so much !

Dr Campion performed back surgery in February and it has been the best thing for me. Chad Campion gave me my life back! The last office visit before today I was wheeled in by wheelchair. I could not walk any distance. I was bent over in pain when i had to stand. I had been like this almost 2 years. My life was turned upside down! Dr. Campion performed my surgery on Monday and I was discharged on Tuesday. I am SO thankful to say that at my 2 week appointment I walked tall and straight (using a walker) into his office. The walker is temporary. I can ditch it now if I want to, but I will probably use it another week. Dr. Campion knows his stuff. He's confident in what he can do. He tells you upfront what he is going to do and what kind of relief you will get. He has an excellent bedside manner. His office staff are very energetic and optimistic! I had been juggled around for 10 years plus by the military. After almost a year dealing with Vanderbilt and about to give up I called Campbell Clinic. Upon first visit Dr Campion took all my history into consideration and after review of my MRIs I was thrilled to hear the news of going forward. Dr Campion went above and beyond to include accommodating me by performing my surgery at a different facility. I can do nothing but brag. I am nothing short of overjoyed!! First time in over 10 years I no longer have pain from my neck, through my shoulders and down to my fingers!! Excellent-excellent-excellent!!!!

Came in with severe back and neck pain due to life long scoliosis, and was seeking help to alleviate my chronic pain as well as an update on the degeneration of my spinal discs. The appointment lasted 5 minutes tops. Was not given any details regarding the state of my spinal curvature or the impact it is having on my discs. Was told that my only option was physical therapy. Left the appointment feeling like I wasted my time and money by choosing this clinic. I did not receive the help that I need and I am very disappointed with my experience.

Dr Campion was one of the most open listening Dr’s I’ve ever met on his level. I was repairing 25 years ago by Dr George Woods. I am blessed to say it been that long without any communication. A couple week ago I had some extreme pain. Out of the blue. 2 weeks later I’m here with Dr Campion who checked me. I have to write a book to explain his and his staff hospitality.

Dr. Campion and the staff have been great. They are very supportive. During and after each appointment they have always said to call if I have any issue. We have called in the past and once again everyone is very supportive and have taken care of the issue.

He can make money my neck but still leave me in pain that was reason I come to him. I’m no different then after spend thousands of dollars. Him tell me can’t help me. Great doctor with a great future. I am fortunate to have him as my surgeon.

He came into the office for about 5 minutes. He didn’t bother to even look over the pain chart they had me fill out before coming to the conclusion that he couldn’t help. I’ve had some bad doctors, but this guy didn’t even attempt to alleviate the symptoms in front of him. I told him I was an athlete for 18 years and I’m having issues with my legs and he just spit out physical therapy, come back in 3 months. I waited longer on triage than he did in the room. I would not recommend this doctor to my enemies. Didn’t ask any fact finding questions about the situation, just assumes based off of touching unrelated points on the body he can diagnose the seriousness of 3 herniated discs. Great to see that the medical community continues to live up to its name as a disgusting money grab. It wasn’t until I pointed out before leaving again that I can’t sleep and he just prescribed muscle relaxors. What a complete joke.

After waiting in the room for over 45 minutes, when he walked in you could immediately sense something was off. Whether he was having a bad day or just didn’t want to be there, I don’t know. I do know that it didn’t help when my daughter & him had a difference of opinion. We were shut down & the appointment wasn’t able to be a full examination & we all left unhappy.

The Dr never introduced himself to me, was very short with me and really didn't help me in any way.

Rudes doctor I have ever

Dr. Campion is taking great care of my spine problems that have escalated to another major surgery which he performed 2 weeks ago. He's very concerned about my pain levels and getting me started with PT to regain strength.

First visit was good ,I will see how the rest go . Seemed to listen to my complaint and then offer a treatment plan all while helping control discomfort .

This was my first visit so x-rays were taken. Go back for MRI. Very polite and listens. He has a good attitude and I was satisfied with the first visit.

I realize that this is not my current doctor but the doctor made me feel like I was faking my back pain. He acted like he didn't really want to see me. I had to ask for an MRI because after seeing another doctor 2 weeks prior, I was still in pain. I had to resign from my job because he wouldn't extend my FMLA and going back to work would have exasperated the injury.
