Dr. Dean listened to me and made excellent recommendations for my health. I appreciate how quickly she made time for me as well.

I absolutely understand that providers are burned out and under more pressure than ever, but she seemed uninterested in my condition and frankly annoyed by my questions. Basically cut me off and said I need to be referred to a specialist. Again I recognize the burn out but I think she treated me rudely.

Dr. Dean has helped me through many health challenges. It is a shame I have to give her up in January because Ponderosa Family Physicians doesn't take my new United Healthcare medicare advantage PPO #1, a comparable health insurance to current Anthem plan, chosen by my Colorado PERA retirement group. It was very frustrating finding a new doctor that is taking new patients. Ponderosa was the only practice out of many offices I called that does not take the new insurance. All the other offices I called did take the insurance but were not taking new patients. After 8 hours of being on the phone I finally found a new doctor.
