She treats both acute injuries and chronic conditions, with a focus on helping patients return to movement safely and confidently.
Dr. Kuripla earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Boston University, where she received extensive training in orthopedic trauma. She completed a Foot & Ankle Surgery Fellowship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital / Mercy Medical Center Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction in Baltimore, Maryland, training under leaders in the field.
Her clinical interests include ankle sports injuries, chronic tendinopathies, foot deformity, trauma of the foot and ankle, and total ankle replacement. She also has a special interest in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, cartilage restoration, and biologic augmentation.
Dr. Kuripla believes in patient-centered orthopedic care, taking time to understand each patient’s activity level and goals in order to personalize treatment plans and optimize outcomes.

Excellent experience. She took the time to listen, evaluate my Achilles, and explain everything clearly. I really appreciated her practical, conservative approach—X-rays, orthotics, and specific exercises rather than jumping to more aggressive treatment. I left feeling confident that I had a good plan going forward. Highly recommend.

Found 2nd fracture that had not been previously diagnosed. Very kind. Very thorough. Very efficient. This applies to the office staff as well.
