Carlton B. Barnswell, MD

Carlton Barnswell, M.D. is a Board Certified Urologist. He completed his undergraduate education at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut and received his Medical Degree and Masters in Public Health with Distinction from the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Barnswell completed a surgical internship at Boston University School of Medicine and a medical internship at Cabrini Medical Center before entering the surgical residency program at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center. Dr. Barnswell completed his urologic training at the combined St Luke’s/Roosevelt/Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center Program.

In 1996 Dr. Barnswell started his private practice, Metropolitan Urologic Services in Elmont New York. He provides general urologic screening and treatment with special expertise in prostate disease including prostate cancer and BPH.
