Throughout school he volunteered with Canadian Vision Care, assisting rural areas of Costa Rica. Short wait time, Doctor did what I needed checking the eye and I am grateful we are now to check the eye every 6 months. I know he has helped me for the eyes to be much better.

Everyone treats me very polite there they take good care of my eyes and the doctor will explain things in details on what’s going on with my eyes and that’s what I like about the doctor
Dr. Carlos Calvo, O.D. joined our practice in 2023. He was raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and attended high school in Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas. He completed his undergrad in the ‘Universidad Latina de Costa Rica’, where he obtained his Bachelor degree in Optometry. Throughout school he volunteered with Canadian Vision Care, assisting rural areas of Costa Rica. He continued his education at the ‘Universidad Europea de Madrid’ in Spain, where he attained his Master’s Degree in Clinical Optometry. Soon after, Dr. Calvo attended the New England College of Optometry, where he obtained his Doctorate degree in Optometry, receiving honors in all his clinical rotations and was class president of the international optometry program.
Dr. Calvo is an optometric glaucoma specialist. He practices full-scope optometry, including the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases such as dry eye disease, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Dr. Calvo is also available to manage most ophthalmic emergencies, including injuries, traumas, and eye infections. He is also fluent in Spanish and accepting new patients.
Dr. Calvo enjoys spending time with his family and many outdoor activities, including tennis, fishing, and scuba diving.
