For fellowship-trained hip and knee replacement specialist Carey Politzer, M.D., improving painful joints is his passion. His focus is treating hip and knee arthritis. “What I love most about this work is that I can help make people significantly better. I see people who struggle to walk around the block and then return them to their favorite hiking trail or back to the links. That is my motivation,” Dr. Politzer said.

I was very pleased with my appointment and the information he shared. It was a very positive experience.
Personable - pleasantly .. a good experience.
I showed up for my 11 o’clock appointment and I was very disappointed by 11:30 that no one had come and explained what the holdup was. I don’t mind waiting, in fact, I always expect to wait at Ortho Bethesda. I would like to be acknowledged and for someone to let me know what is going on. I ended up leaving without being seen.
Described future procedure in manner we could understand. Answered all questions-- very professional and understood our issues.
Still hopeful and listened to.
He was very attentive. He listened to what I had to say and all the details. He was observant and communicative. Very professional and thorough.
Very caring and expert
