Camille L. Mason, M.D., is a native of Soda Springs, Idaho, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. While at the University of Utah, she earned a Certificate in Gerontology in addition to her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude. She received her medical doctorate from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, an honor given only to medical students who finish at the top of their graduating class. After finishing a transitional internship at LDS Hospital, she completed a three year dermatology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and then had two years of fellowship training in Mohs Surgery and facial reconstruction under Duane Whitaker, the past president of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Mason is Board Certified in Dermatology and a Fellow in the American College of Mohs Surgery.
The American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) is an organization restricted to physicians who, upon completion of their dermatology residency training, have completed at least one additional year of specialty fellowship training dedicated to Mohs Surgery and facial reconstruction. This training ensures extensive experience and expertise in the surgical removal of skin cancers and in advanced reconstructive techniques. Additionally, Dr. Mason is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology.
